Cyber Moday Refurbished Laptop Sales

Some of the best deals online can be had when you purchase a used or refurbished laptop. Luckily for you during Cyber Monday, you can save a ton of money shopping for a refurbished laptop. Now, I must clarify that there is a huge difference between a used laptop and a refurbished one.

Typically, a used laptop is one that has been previously owned and is being listed for sale by a current owner. Commonly you will find used laptops available on places such as eBay.

A refurbished laptop is one that is being offered direct from the manufacturer in which it has been sent back to the manufacturer, either by way of refund or warranty replacement, and has been reconditioned and deemed worthy of being resold again.

A refurbished laptop carries the same warranties as a brand new laptop, really the only difference is price. With that said, during Cyber Monday, you can totally score some amazing deals on a refurbished laptop. My advice to you would be to check out Amazon.com’s Cyber Monday Refurbished Laptop Sales Page.

Using an Old Refurbished Laptop To Install Linux

Over the years you may have heard of Linux or even have had a personal interest in installing Linux on your own laptop computer. While this can be something new, fun and exciting; it too can also be somewhat of a challenge.

Linux is a lot different than a Windows operated laptop. While both operating system perform the same tasks, each system has to be operated by the user somewhat differently. More people who are former Windows based users will experience more problems compared to complete non computer users.

The reason for this is simple. Former Windows based users grow accustom to doing computer tasks a certain way and when they then operate a Linux based computer system, everything is different. With a complete non computer user — again someone who has never used a computer before — things are much easier because they don’t know any differently.

If you are interested in installing Linux and trying it for the first time, I would recommend that you use and install Linux on an older refurbished laptop that you might have purchased years ago. The reason for this is so that you don’t make a mistake and end up destroying your newer and more primary system.

If it turns out that you enjoy using Linux a lot, you can then install Linux on your primary computer system. Also, by that time you’ll have more experience with installing and operating a Linux operating system.
